Two American tourists who sneaked in to Sir Paul McCartney's country estate and filmed themselves posted the film on the internet.

The couple were on a public footpath close to Sir Paul's house on his 933-acre farm at Peasmarsh, near Rye, when they decided to sneak in.

A 38-second film posted on the YouTube website shows the man, wearing a red-and-black striped top, walking around. He was filmed by his female friend.

The pair laugh nervously as they walk past a Land Rover, a Mercedes estate and a vintage car on a gravel drive in front of the house, known as Beanacres.

A woman's voice says: "This is it. This is his house. It's a beautiful house. It's so beautiful.

Oh God, we are going to be in so much trouble."

In a second clip, faint music and singing can be heard, which the Americans claim is Sir Paul.

More than 4,000 people have logged on to see the footage.

One viewer, calling themselves Sussexforever, wrote on the comments page: "This is invading another person's privacy.

You are not even in your own country. You are a disgrace.

How dare you come to England and behave like this."
