Thanks to everyone who joined us in the "Ring round the Hospital" at Southlands, Shoreham. We finished it off with a Mexican wave.

All these people care about our hospitals and wished to show the Government what they think of the leaked proposals for change.

Sadly, the fight does not stop here. If A&E were closed at Worthing, the Royal Sussex County Hospital (RSCH), Brighton, would be inundated.

Can it cope? Many, including doctors, say it cannot.

What about visitors? If you accompany someone in an ambulance to the RSCH in the middle of the night, how do you get back to Lancing or Worthing?

It is time for the people of Brighton and Hove to wake up to what is possible.

A demonstration is planned for the Level in Brighton next Saturday. Support it. Wake up your MPs and galvanise them into action.

There is a public meeting in the Shoreham Centre on December 1 at 7pm to discuss the, by then, published proposals for change. Worthing has a meeting the day before.

All are welcome.

Medical services are a keystone of our society. All active citizens should continue to fight for its rights. You have never been more heavily taxed so you should have a say in how the money is spent.
