In response to Elisabeth Telcs (Letters, October 6), all I know is the Labour Party, so far, has caused me to be unemployed for the first time in my life on a longterm basis.

Not only that but they have reduced my payment to only £48 per week. Try living on that.

Calling people toffs because they are Tories is immature and crass.

If anybody is a toff it is Tony Blair, with his £3 million home and public school education.

Also, the Labour Government has seen fit to take £50 in tax from me even though I have only earned £900 this year.

Free bus travel for pensioners is not a Labour idea. It was going on in London under the Tory Government.

Brighton took a long time to catch on.

I long for a return to a Tory Government, free enterprise and an incentive for going to work, instead of low wages and a feeling it's hardly worth bothering any more.
