A man and woman have been arrested in connection with the theft of five rare monkeys from a Sussex zoo.
The pair, both in their 30s, were seized in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, on suspicion of handling the marmosets stolen from Drusillas, in Alfriston, in June. They have been bailed until October 17.
Four of the monkeys were recovered during a police raid on a house in Tunstall, Staffordshire, on June 29. The fifth, a baby, is not believed to have survived the ordeal. Two 35-year-old men from Tunstall were arrested at the time. They have been bailed until November 17.
Drusillas spokeswoman Claire Peters said: "The four marmosets are doing well and have made a full recovery. In fact the keepers are hopeful that Jazz, the silvery marmoset, may even be pregnant."
