Hearing a network of bike shops is planned for Brighton encourages me to ask if there are plans to increase the cycle path network in the South to entice commuters to cycle as a viable means of getting to and from work?
My daily journey from Burgess Hill to Haywards Heath would be easy on a dedicated cycle lane but the council tells me there are no plans to develop such routes.
But safe and easily accessed routes into adjacent towns would surely increase the number of us already willing to actively commute.
