I noticed in the editorial column talking about the King Alfred (The Argus, October 7) you referred to the "South East". While I know Brighton is a regional centre, I believe we should refer to "Sussex", not "regional".

This government loves to depersonalise in this way, so I feel, as The Argus is the premier newspaper of Sussex, Brighton should be viewed as being the hub of Sussex.

By using "regional" when referring to capital projects, you are in danger of alienating Brighton from the rest of the county while at the same time risk belittling the achievements which occur in the rest of this great county of ours.

Incidentally, I am a Brightonian and very proud of both my city and county.

With reference to where affordable housing could be built (The Argus, October 7), why not on the old Flexer paper sacks site?
