ADVERTORIAL

There are plenty of places that try to make us look and feel better but there are very few that manage it as well as Lisa Baldwinson and cousins Jane and Emma Bulbeck at The Beauty Rooms at 16 Westgate, Chichester.

The Beauty Rooms is an oasis of calm where peace and tranquillity meet vintage glamour and where the friendly atmosphere makes you feel instantly relaxed.

“Beauty is a serious business,” says Jane. “Women love to feel good and after a visit to The Beauty Rooms they not only look and feel better but they actually manage their lives better. It puts them in a good frame of mind and positively affects everything they do.

“And it’s not only women. More and more men are using relaxation therapies and products these days.

“At The Beauty Rooms we provide holistic and prescriptive treatments using advanced techniques to provide relaxation, and we only use natural products that are ethically sourced.”

Jane’s impressive credentials and qualifications include a distinction awarded by the Confederation of International Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology in 1986, after which she studied aromatherapy with Eve Taylor – a pioneer of modern aromatherapy.

In 1988 Jane moved to Bermuda to work and study and established a reputation for sports massage. In 2005 she took the sports therapy VCTC and also studied with the FA, gaining a level-three in injury management and rehabilitation.

Business partner Lisa is an experienced holistic and beauty therapist. She trained as a dancer and worked for a while in London, but after visiting Thailand as part of a year’s travelling experience she decided that her passion lay within the field of holistic therapies.

Lisa has a level-three diploma, and she focuses on holistic disciplines such as massage, aromatherapy, reflexology and Indian head massage. She has expanded her knowledge with further studies in sports massage, hot-stone massage and Thai herbal compress massage. Emma Bulbeck is the third member of the team. She qualified in 2011 in beauty therapy sciences earning a distinction, and she has built a solid client base through word of mouth alone. Working consistently to a high standard has made her popular among the Beauty Rooms’ original clientele. Emma is intensely passionate about skin care, particularly Pevonia botanical products, and is keen to share all that beauty and holistics have to offer.

In short, The Beauty Rooms is the ideal place to shrug off the pressures and worries of modern life.
