A man wanted for a serious domestic assault on a woman is on the run and could be in Eastbourne or Hastings.
James Anthony Welsh, 39, of Heygreen Road, Wavertree, Liverpool was released on licence on May 18, from HMP Garth where he was serving a seven-year sentence for drug supply.
Since his release Welsh skipped his meeting with his probation officer and has not been seen at his home.
He is also wanted in connection with a serious assault on a woman where the victim was repeatedly punched to the face and choked unconscious.
Welsh appeared on the BBC TV Crimewatch programme on July 19, as a result of which calls were received to say he had been seen recently in Eastbourne and Hastings.
Anyone who has seen Welsh or has any information regarding his whereabouts is asked to call Merseyside Police on 0151 777 1161, or independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
