I am concerned about young children’s behaviour.
My husband was going to Newhaven Co-op with our eight-year-old and ten-year-old daughters on Monday at about 7pm.
The shopping centre is near a car park where youngsters congregate. When my husband passed this car park, he saw broken eggs on the road.
As soon as he turned around a group of young children, probably no older than 12 or 13, threw eggs from the top floor of the car park. A couple of them hit his shoulder and face. My daughters were terrified.
My husband was not the only victim; other people were affected too. Some of these kids threw mud in my daughter’s face.
My husband called the police but they couldn’t do anything as there was no evidence – the children had fled.
This shows a lack of respect from youngsters for the community, elders and other children. They find pleasure in abusing others, which also shows a lack of education or social skills.
The council should stop the misuse of this car park.
