Buster needs a loving home.

This poor pooch was found dumped in a Brighton park after his owner had abandoned him.

The frightened Staffordshire bull terrier puppy was quickly rescued by animal welfare officers from Brighton and Hove City Council .

Buster, as he is now known, is being cared for before a new permanent and loving home is found.

Animal welfare officer Izzie Blanden said: “Being a dog-friendly city means we have a team in place to rescue strays and tackle animal welfare issues like this. This little chap is going to have the happy ending he deserves.”

If you’re interested in giving Buster a new home and are familiar with looking after puppies, please contact the Brighton and Hove City Council Animal Welfare Team on 01273 292445.

Give a Pet a Home

We have re-launched our Give a Pet a Home campaign.

We are calling on readers to:

  • Head down to their nearest shelter when thinking of getting a new pet.
  • Make sure pets are neutered or spayed at the earliest opportunity to spare any unwanted accidents.
  • Think long and hard about whether you have the time, money, health and inclination to care for a pet for its whole life.

Don’t miss The Argus over the coming days and weeks for details of more animals in need of new homes – and the pets that have found new homes thanks to The Argus.
