This was the scene at Stanmer Park, Brighton, yesterday following the weekend’s Shakedown Festival.
More than 19,500 people flocked to the event to see the likes of Katy B and Dizzee Rascal performing.
However, concerns have been raised about the speed of the clear-up with rain over the past two days turning parts of the site into a mud-bath.
Festival bosses have said that they will be off site later today once groundworks have been carried out.
A spokesman for the festival said: “Unfortunately the weather wasn’t good during the set up of the festival and was not ideal at points during the day.
"We will be off site as of tomorrow and a road sweep is being conducted first thing Thursday morning. We’d ask for patience with the reinstatement of grass due to the time of year and the inclement weather.”
