KRISPY Kreme doughnuts are coming to Brighton’s Churchill Square next week.

The doughnut retailer will open at 10am on Thursday, February 8.

The first person in line to witness the opening will be rewarded with a prize and the first dozen visitors will be treated to a goody bag filled with merchandise.

Spot prizes will be presented throughout the day.

Neil Williamson, UK operations director at Krispy Kreme, said: “We are very much looking forward to welcoming the doughnut-lovers of Brighton to our second store in the area.

“We will be spreading the joy of Krispy Kreme in the run up to the opening by surprising and delighting the people of Brighton with hundreds of free doughnuts.

“Locals should be eagle-eyed and keep a look out for us at hotspots across the city to be in with a chance of bagging some treats.”

Churchill Square centre director Mark Buchanan-Smith said: “It is a hugely popular brand and the new store is set to be a great addition to the ever-growing offering at the centre.

“The arrival of Krispy Kreme comes not long after the openings of both HMV and iSmash at the end of 2017, and with Pandora due to open at the centre in the near future – it is a very exciting time for us at Churchill Square.

“The new stores demonstrate that both the centre and the city are hugely attractive propositions of some of the biggest names in retail.”

Krispy Kreme UK entered the market in October 2003 in London and has since opened Hotlight stores in key cities including Glasgow, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham and Bristol.

It currently operates more than 100 stores across the UK.
