A UNIQUE Charleston dance school recently accepted onto the UK’s largest free accelerator hub has paired up with Hilton Brighton Metropole for a unique event.

MyCharleston was set up by entrepreneurial pair Elena Collins and Fiona Ring as a passion project after they became hooked on Charleston dancing.

After teaching sell-out classes in Brighton, the pair realised the demand for the dance was bigger than they initially thought.

In just under six months, they launched their business in five new cities focusing on getting all age groups kicking and flicking across the dance floor.

Elena said: “It’s a really playful dance, full of character and humour.

“When we set this business up we had no idea we’d be expanding so quickly.

“Things have been moving at a giddy pace since we joined the Entrepreneurial Sparks programme.

“We have expanded along the South Coast and we are now hosting our first ever Chai and Charleston - an 1920s Afternoon Tea at the Hilton Brighton Metropole”.

Taking place on February 24,, the afternoon tea will consist of traditional high tea, Charleston lessons, feisty flappers and a live jazz band.

Elena said: “We are really excited that the Hilton want to work with us.

“We think something quirky like this is something that the people of Brighton and Hove will enjoy and make a regular thing.”
