A DIRECTOR is celebrating 30 years at the same firm.

Matthew Tyson works for Richard Place Dobson, Crawley-based chartered accountants and business advisors.

He first came to the firm for careers advice and staff were so impressed he was offered a job straight away.

However, as Matthew was still attending university at the time, he turned it down.

Undeterred and eager to not let Matthew’s skills slip away, the company offered him a year’s work experience whilst he continued his studies.

At the end of the year RPD offered Matthew a permanent position, which he accepted.

Since joining in 1988, Matthew has seen the company grow eight-fold with the company continuing to go from strength to strength.

He said: “It’s been a fantastic 30 years, and for people that like to help other people, this is a fantastic career.”

Richard Place Dobson also specialises in the charity and not-for-profit sectors.
