SUSSEX Police has donated £497 to a Worthing charity.
G.O.L.D, is a service provided by Guild Care for older people with learning difficulties in the local community.
The donation was part of the Police Property Act Fund.
The Fund supports local projects undertaken by charitable and voluntary organisations that solely benefit the communities of Sussex and is made up of monies received by the police from the sale of found and confiscated property by order of court and then sold.
Sergeant Ian Hansford visited G.O.L.D to present the group with its cheque. Members were excited to see him in his uniform and were elated when they were able to try on the police hats and jacket that Ian brought along.
