A BUILDING developer has submitted a planning application worth £100 million.
First Base has applied to the city council to build 168 new homes and workspaces at the old Amex House site in Edward Street, Brighton.
All proposed new buildings will be between three and eight storeys – lower than the wedding cake structure that was there before.
The plans were developed after consultations with residents and Brighton and Hove City Council.
Lucinda Mitchell, project director at First Base, said: “We are excited to be embarking on this much needed project that will deliver modern workspace, jobs and homes for Brighton.
“We have taken careful thought and consideration to the issues affecting the immediate area around the development, which we will continue throughout the stages of planning.”
