Hailsham Sixth Form is celebrating an excellent set of A Level and vocational results.

With a 99% pass rate at A Level, and three quarters of grades awarded at A*-C, this September will see over half of this year’s cohort making the transition to higher education at universities around the country.

Vocational courses continued their strong showing, with the average grade awarded an A.

Students opening outstanding results today included Mary Adeniji with A*A*A* moving on to study Medicine at Cambridge; Madeleine Lusted with A*AA who will be studying Law at Bristol; Jack Ralph who achieved AAB and will study Law at Sussex; Millie Chatfield who gained AAB and will study Exercise and Sport Sciences at Exeter and Connor Southgate who got AAC and will now go on to study Geography at UCL.

Head of Sixth Form Simon Marsden said: "This excellent set of results are credit to the hard work and application of our students.

"The progress made by the vast majority of students here at Hailsham has seen them outperform challenging national targets and achieve their dreams.

"We could not be prouder of the aspirational example they have set to the younger students at the college."
