A council boss has apologised for disruption to recycling and rubbish collections.
Brighton and Hove City Council Chief Executive Penny Thompson said the authority is doing everything they can to minimise the impact of the industrial action.
She said because of the targeted disruption many crews are not collecting the rubbish next to bins, roads are being missed and many more collection vehicles are reported as having faults meaning that they can’t be used.
She added: “We are doing everything we can to minimise the disruption and to keep as many vehicles as possible on the road.
“We are also working hard with our staff and unions to get our services back to normal as soon as possible.
“Nevertheless I’m sorry for any inconvenience caused.”
