POLICE search teams and scene of crime officers are carrying out a drugs raid in Eastbourne.

Pictures from the scene show officers removing bags of drugs from a property in Whitley Road.

They have reportedly been there since 9.30am and appear to be still searching the house.

Witnesses say the door to the property had not been forcibly opened.

What appears to be marijuana and other narcotics can be seen in evidence bags being carried out by the officers.

Sussex Police have been contacted for comment.
