A car has been badly damaged and there is debris spread across the road after a crash on the A27.

The two-car collision happened close to the Southwick Tunnel at around 2.30pm today. One of the cars is a Mercedes.

Traffic is slowing near the Shoreham Bypass Eastbound near the A283 Steyning Road.

Drivers are advised to expect delays in the area.

Sussex Police have been approached for comment.
