Love Island host Laura Whitmore has sent fans wild with a teaser post ahead of the summer's new series. 

The presenter, 36, posted a pic of a giant Love Island bottle on Instagram on Tuesday.

The picture, which sees Whittmore leaning against the iconic water bottle from the series, was taken at ITV Waterhouse square.

Whitmore captioned her post: "Thirsty?," leaving fans to speculate what the snap could mean.

Her followers flocked to the After Sun presenter's comment section in search of answers. 

One theory has emerged that ITV could be releasing details of a Winter Love Island.

An idea that would make sense, considering the fluffy winter coat she is wearing in the picture.

One fan wrote: "Winter love island!?"

While another user commented: "Is this a hint??? #LoveIsland winter 2022".

Is there a Winter Love Island?

Fans last saw a Winter Love Island aired in January 2020.

The series was filmed in Cape Town, South Africa rather than the Majorcan villa where the original show is based during the summer.

The show's only winners are Paige Turley and Finley Tapp remain the only winners since the winter edition was never picked up for a second season.
