As 2022 draws to a close many will be celebrating the beginning of a new year with parties and other gatherings.
It is likely that many of those will be watching a countdown on New Year's Eve as part of this.
A fireworks display is set to take place in London to celebrate this after it had been cancelled for the past two years, which will be shown on the BBC.

Where to watch the New Year's Eve 2022 countdown
Like every year BBC One has a special programme in the build-up to the New Year being welcomed in.

This year Eurovision runner-up Sam Ryder will present a New Year's Eve concert from Riverside Studios in Hammersmith, which will start at 11.30pm on BBC One.
He will be joined by fellow music stars for special duets and special takes on classic hits before it cuts across to coverage of the fireworks display and the chimes of Big Ben just before midnight.
Following that Sam Ryder's programme with continue until 12.45am.
Alternatively, Jools Holland will be hosting his annual Hootenanny over on BBC Two from 11.30pm which will have its own countdown to the New Year.
