INDUSTRY experts came to Brighton for the Chartered Institute of Housing’s Total Housing 2018 Conference.
Social housing provider Stonewater’’s executive director for housing Sue Shirt said: “ There is an annual shortfall of 104,000 homes in the region and we’re not building enough affordable new homes – nor building them fast enough.
“We need new strategies and solutions particularly in the face of growing construction skills shortages, rising build costs and post-Brexit uncertainty.
“Tackling the region’s housing crisis requires a major re-think of how we deliver homes faster.”
