It's so close now and, like a lot of the people I speak to on a daily basis (there are 8 of us from the office doing this thing), I'm vacillating between nerves, excitement and 'how could I have been so stupid' so quickly and frequently I can barely keep up with myself.

I did a five mile session on Sunday, you may remember, and I hate to say it, but I was still stiff yesterday. I woke up this morning feeling pretty much back to normal, though, and headed out on one of the week's 2 30-minute jogs. I'm pleased to say it felt much better. It's obviously not a stamina-builder or a speed-booster at this stage, it's more about just making sure your body doesn't forget what running feels like. Another one of these on Friday morning and the next one after that is THE BIG ONE.

A great e-mail on successfully completing your first marathon did the rounds at work the other day. I'll see if I can find it and plagiarise furiously in a post later today, or tomorrow. Some of the tips really struck chords with me.
