We all know them, the people who care, give up their time and want to make a difference in their community. Volunteers are incredible, passionate people – and we are celebrating all that they do.

The Categories


A person aged between 5 – 16 years old who should be recognised for their volunteering.


Someone who has had an impact on their community whether geographical, group or virtual.


An individual who is all about the education of people. It is not limited to a school or formal education environment and can include any role a person has volunteered to do that educates or informs.

  The promotion offers the chance to nominate a volunteer. Nominations can be sent in by post or made online. Voting will take place on newspaper forms only. The volunteer with the most votes in each category will be the winner.  The prize will be as stated, and no other alternative offered. To be eligible for the prize the winner will be required to participate in follow-up coverage and must be over the age of 18, if the nominee or, where appropriate, their parent / guardian decides not to proceed with their nomination please contact 01268 469358 and we will delete their personal information promptly - but we will retain some limited information so that we know that they have decided not to proceed further. Any damaged or incomplete nomination/vote forms will be classed as void.
