Crawley have offered striker Jonte Smith a new one-year contract along with defender Louis John.

Smith penned his first professional deal with Crawley last summer and has gone on to break into the first team this season following a prolific loan spell at Met Police.

The 19-year-old made four substitute appearances after Christmas and was also an unused sub on a number of occasions. He is currently on loan at Eastbourne Borough.

John has yet to break into the Reds first team squad and has spent the majority of the season on loan at Ryman League side Bognor.

Manager Richie Barker said: "We think a lot of both Louis and Jonte. They are still young and by no means the finished article but they are two players who fit into what we are trying to do at the club which is to develop and work with good young footballers."

Fellow young pros Jon Dollery and Aaron Wickham will not be offered new deals when their current contracts run out in the summer.
