Albion head coach Oscar Garcia is relieved to have held onto captain Gordon Greer.
The club confirmed today that Greer has signed a new contract keeping him at the club until the end of next season, after persistent interest from Leeds United.
Oscar said: "One of my targets when I arrived here was to keep Gordon here because he is the captain and he's a leader. For me, he is very important this season."
Oscar will still be without Andrea Orlandi (knee) for tomorrow's trip to Birmingham City.
Republic of Ireland duo Stephen Ward and Keith Andrews, landed on season-loan loan deals from Wolverhampton Wanderers and Bolton Wanderers respectively, are both likely to make their full debuts.
