Andrew Crofts wants Albion to use struggling Sheffield Wednesday's visit to The Amex tomorrow night as the springboard for another unbeaten run.

The Seagulls lost for the first time in seven matches at Ipswich on Saturday.

Crofts said: "We have got two really good home games to look forward to (Nottingham Forest on Saturday). We want to start another good run, like we were on before and the boys are well up for it.

"They haven't had the best of starts, but we are under no illusions whatsoever. We know it's going to be a tough game. I think everyone knows any team in this league can beat anyone. When we played Millwall they were struggling and they got a good point here."

Albion are currently 12th in the Championship table, but Crofts is confident they can improve on that position.

The midfielder said: "It could easily be different, small margins in games. We are looking like a really good team and we can only get stronger. I am really enjoying it, I am excited about what we can achieve. If you put a good run together you climb the table pretty quickly and that's what we're looking to do."

Team-mate Will Buckley branded the 2-0 defeat at Ipswich as one of the worst performances in his time at the club, but Crofts believes Albion were not that bad.

The Welsh international said: Their first goal took a big deflection. I should probably have scored in the first five minutes, so it is small margins.

"On the whole they probably just edged it, but it's not as if they were miles better than us. Maybe we were a bit off it, but it is good that we have got another game on Tuesday to hopefully start another good run like we were on before.

"Bucks is a really honest lad, but he was maybe being a bit harsh on himself and the team. In the heat of the moment after you lose you always think that's really bad, but a few people watched the DVD back and I don't think it was as bad as they thought it was.

"Don't get me wrong, it wasn't anywhere near as good as we have been playing, but the confidence of the boys is still really high and we are excited about tomorrow night now."
