Albion have been warned they might find the going tougher at home today.
Bolton boss Dougie Freedman was impressed by the Seagulls’ 2-0 midweek win at Leeds.
But he reckons his side can secure a similar season-launching win at the Amex.
Freedman, whose side have one point from three games, said: “In this division a win can turn things for you.
“They had a good win the other night. I watched the game and they played well.
“They will be a little bit more confident than they have been.
“Because of the systems a lot of teams are playing, it helps them away from home on the counter-attack.
“It was the same with Wolves at Fulham on Wednesday which I also watched.
“We will go there with a gameplan that I think will help us beat Brighton.
“There will not be a lot in the game.”
Bolton have lost experienced right-back Kevin McNaughton to a hamstring injury.
They started the season with a 3-0 defeat at Watford and have since drawn 2-2 with Nottingham Forest and lost 2-1 to Middlesbrough, both at home.
