Albion manager Sami Hyypia has urged fans and his players to keep faith with his methods.

The Seagulls head to high-flying Watford tomorrow with two wins out of nine in the Championship and five teams below them in the table.

Hyypia believes repeats of the performance in Tuesday’s unfortunate 1-1 draw against Cardiff at the Amex will soon bring an end to the six-match run without a league victory.

The Finn regards Albion’s display against the Welshmen as the best of his reign, better than the 2-0 win at Leeds earlier in the season.

He told The Argus: “I would like to continue this way and they (wins) will come, I am sure they will come.

“That’s my way of doing things and as long as I am here I don’t think it’s going to change, how we approach the game, how we try to play, how we defend, how we attack.

“I believe in those things and if something goes wrong I know I’ve done the things I believe in.

“If somebody else comes in and plays differently and wins every game okay but I don’t need to even think about that.

“I haven’t had a time or day I’ve been thinking I need to change something.

“I know I have a lot of faith in this team, that they can play with this system, with these things we have worked on now for a little bit more than three months.

“That’s how we will continue. I’d like the players to keep the faith as well in what we do, because Tuesday was a demonstration of what we can do.

“When we start to put the ball in the back of the next then, of course, it’s better.”

Albion, without an away goal in the Championship for three-and-a-half hours, have major doubts over strikers Craig Mackail-Smith (hamstring) and Sam Baldock (calf) for the clash against third-placed Watford at Vicarage Road.
