Darren Ward comes straight in for his Crawley Town debut against MK Dons this afternoon after joining on loan from Swindon Town yesterday.
Ward is one of four changes made by interim boss Dean Saunders to the side which drew 0-0 with Colchester United in his first game in charge.
But fellow new signing Blair Anderson has to be content with a place on the bench having signed a short-term deal from Basford United yesterday.
Ward partners Joe Walsh in the centre of a reinforced defence to the one which managed to keep a clean sheet against Colchester.
Dean Leacock and Ryan Dickson remain sidelined by injury but Lanre Oyebanjo returns at right-back while Sonny Bradley takes over on the left after returning to fitness.
The other change comes up front where Gavin Tomlin is preferred to Matt Harrold as a partner for top scorer Izale McLeod.
Gwion Edwards has also been passed fit after sitting out training for the majority of the week as he continues his recovery from a hernia operation.
Crawley (4-4-2): Jensen; Oyebanjo, Ward, Walsh, Bradley; Smith, Elliott, Henderson, Edwards; Tomlin, McLeod. Subs: Harrold, Young, Banya, Bawling, Anderson.
MK Dons (4-2-3-1) Martin; Spence, Kay, McFadzean, Lewington; Potter, Alli; Baker, Reeves, Carruthers; Grigg.
