Crawley boss Dean Saunders has been frustrated in his attempts to further strengthen his squad.
Saunders has already signed seven players since taking over from John Gregory at the end of December but is keen to bring in a midfielder on loan.
Josh Simpson and Conor Henderson are facing extended spells on the sidelines through injury and Saunders would like further options in the middle of the pitch.
The Reds manager has identified a handful of players who he would be interested in signing but the arrival of Matthias Pogba last week has used up virtually all his budget.
Saunders has been told he must offload players before bringing in any more new faces but there has been a lack of interest in those he would be willing to let go. Saunders said: “We are making progress. I’ve got a few targets but I haven’t got much money.
“I have got £100 left to spend so I can’t do anything until someone goes out.”
