ROHAN Ince has set his sights on a long-term future with Albion after establishing himself again in the centre of midfield.

Ince, left, was in and out of the team under former boss Sami Hyypia following a first team breakthrough last season for Oscar Garcia’s side.

The powerful ex-Chelsea youngster was handed his first start for a month by caretaker Nathan Jones in the final match of 2014 at Fulham and maintained his record of starting all nine matches since Chris Hughton took charge in Saturday’s 0-0 draw at Sheffield Wednesday.

Ince is keen to remain an Albion player beyond his current contract, which expires at the end of next season.

He revealed to The Argus: “I’d be happy to but it’s not really down to me at the moment. I have just got to play and try to impress and what ever is offered is offered.

“I’m not really concentrating on that, I’m just concentrating on playing my football. Every game I go out there I have just got to play well and that will take care of itself.

“At the start of the season I wasn’t playing very often, so that was a little bit of an upset for me, but I kept my head up, kept training well and kept playing well when I had the opportunity.

“Thankfully I’m back in the team now, so I want to stay here as long as possible.”
