Albion striker Alex Revell wants the visit of table-topping Scunthorpe United to spark a return to scoring form.

Revell is still striving for peak fitness since recovering from ankle ligament damage.

The ten-goal marksman has not hit the net since early December but he is aiming to put that right at Withdean on Saturday, when Albion try to repeat their surprise 2-1 win at Scunthorpe earlier in the season.

Revell said. "We had a great result against them and I am looking forward to another game and hopefully getting on the scoresheet. That's what I want.

"It's just about getting match fitness. I was out for six weeks and unfortunately for me every reserve game was called off because of the weather. I was coming on as sub for the first team and it is a great feeling for me to get back in the side so early."

Boss Dean Wilkins was critical of Revell in his second match back in the starting line-up and strike partner Bas Savage in Saturday's 0-0 draw at Blackpool.

Revell admitted: "He was right. I think in the first half we needed to offer more. I think in the second half we probably did that and we looked a better side then because we put ourselves about. In the first half we maybe took it a little bit for granted the way we were playing. Sometimes you need that boot up the bum.

"It's important for me to keep working at it and keep getting better. I said to the gaffer that Friday was probably the best I have trained since getting fit again so it is coming back.

"It's frustrating for me sometimes because I am trying to do the things I was before and sometimes it doesn't happen because my body is not quite in the shape I want."

How many points do Albion need to make sure of safety?
