Notts County chairman Ray Trew is still hopeful of signing Crawley striker Izale McLeod, despite having a bid knocked back.
Reds have turned down a £100,000 offer for their top scorer last season from the Magpies.
Trew admits he hopes Crawley reconsider after describing the offer as “rather substantial.”
