Chris Hughton has been spared the manager of the month curse.
The Albion boss was shortlisted for the November Championship award.
It has been won instead by Ipswich Town's Mick McCarthy.
Town took ten points from a possible 12, which earned McCarthy the nod from a panel of judges chaired by Ipswich legend George Burley.
Albion winger Solly March was also nominated for the player prize but that went to Ipswich striker Daryl Murphy, who scored six goals in four games.
The managerial jinx is already working. Ipswich lost their first game in December, 2-0 at home to Middlesbrough.
