Albion centre-halves Lewis Dunk and Connor Goldson have been tipped for Premier League futures.

The pair have made a big impression on Liam Ridgewell since he joined the Seagulls on loan from Portland Timbers.

Ridgewell makes his home debut today against Huddersfield at the Amex alongside Dunk and Goldson on the ex-Shrewsbury defender’s 100th league start of his career.

They were outstanding in last Saturday’s 1-0 win at Blackburn, where Dunk recovered from a series of goal-costing errors in previous games.

Ridgewell (pictured below), who played in the Premier League for Aston Villa, Birmingham and West Brom, told The Argus: "It was massive for him to have a good game. He’s a ball playing defender and you’re going to have those spells in your career.

“I went through it myself and people start questioning your ability. It only shows how good he is and his mentality to have a performance like he did at Blackburn.

The Argus:

"The same goes for Connor Goldson. He’s been in and out of the team and he had a solid game.

“They are you defenders and they can only get better. If they can put in those type of performances often enough then I don’t see why they can’t be seen as top defenders.

“In the short time that I have known them they are very composed on the ball, quick and also agile, and that’s what most clubs want now. That’s probably why I’m playing left-back!”
