Gaetan Bong is back in the frame for Albion.

But manager Chris Hughton is treading carefully with his first choice left-back, sidelined since October by a thigh injury.

Bong is unlikely to feature in the squad against Leeds at the Amex on Monday night, with Liam Rosenior fit-again to continue deputising in his spot and right-back Bruno expected to shrug off a kick to the knee in Tuesday's 4-0 win at Bristol City.

Hughton said: "Gaetan's been training with a week for us, so in theory he is available. It is just making sure we pick the right moment with him."

The left-sided partnership between Bong and Kazenga LuaLua will be available to Hughton during the run-in.

Winger LuaLua has recovered from a knee knock and Hughton hopes to have available for the Leeds game.

James Wilson, back from a groin problem as a substitute at Bristol, is also expected to be in the squad in spite of fresh speculation that Manchester United's deepening injury crisis will prompt his recall.

Frenchman Anthony Martial pulled out of United's Europa league clash with FC Midtjylland in the warm-up at Old Trafford last night due to hamstring tightness.

His replacement, 18-year-old local boy Marcus Rushford, scored twice on his debut in United's 5-1 win.

Hughton said: "The lad who came on did quite well I think! We have a very good relationship with Manchester United and we've not heard anything."

Former Albion loan signing Mustapha Carayol resumed training with Leeds today and ex-Seagull Liam Bridcutt, on loan at Elland Road from Sunderland, is set to make his return to the Amex after missing Tuesday's 1-1 home draw against Fulham.

Leeds manager Steve Evans joked: "I just have to hope he doesn't go in the wrong dressing room."
