Nathaniel Pinney has agreed a new two-year contract with Eastbourne Borough.

This season’s top scorer and Player of the Year has agreed a deal which will keep him at Priory Lane until the summer of 2018.

Fellow striker Elliott Romian and captain Ian Simpemba have also agreed new contracts with Borough.

This follows news yesterday that Jamie Taylor had signed a new one-year deal while youngsters Josh Street and Ryley Tate had signed first-team contracts.

Former Crystal Palace player Pinney has 25 goals this season ahead of Friday’s Parafix Sussex Senior Cup final against Worthing at the Amex.

Boss Tommy Widdrington said: “Nat had a hugely promising start to his pro career as a teenage. What we have done is to give him a platform to re-launch that career and he has seized it admirably.

“He is a credit to himself and the club and he absolutely loves it at the Lane. Now he can be part of Borough’s future as well as his own.”
