Solly March is proposing to be a Premier League hit for Albion – after getting engaged.

The England under-21 winger believes he can shine for the Seagulls in the top flight with the benefit of a proper pre-season.

March has ended a memorable campaign with a hat-trick of promotion, the young player of the year award from boss Chris Hughton and his staff, and getting engaged to girlfriend Amelia Goldman in Dubai.

He has recovered from the hitch of 11 months out with knee ligament damage, which he was still recovering from last summer, and is now set for a crack at the top flight which he reckons could suit his style of play.

March told The Argus: “I think you get more time on the ball maybe, which will be nice. Obviously the players are fitter, stronger, sharper in their minds, so it’s going to be tough, very tough.

“But I’d like to think I can cope with it once I’ve had a good pre-season under my belt. I think that will bring the best out of me once I’ve had a full pre-season and I’m fully fit.

“I’m fully fit now but I don’t think I am as sharp as I could be, mentally or physically. With a full pre-season, hopefully I can get that. It’s massive to get that under your belt.”

March made 25 Championship appearances for Albion from November and scored the goal that effectively took them up against Wigan at the Amex on Easter Monday.

He is set to be named in the England under-21s squad for the Euro finals in Poland next month. England face Sweden on June 16, Slovakia on June 19 and the host nation on June 22.

The Premier League fixtures are released on June 14 and the season starts on the weekend of August 12-13.
