Albion captain Bruno has protested his innocence and accused ref Michael Oliver of awarding Everton a soft late penalty in the 1-1 draw at the Amex.
Oliver spotted Bruno catching Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the neck with his elbow from a free-kick.
Wayne Rooney's resulting penalty in the final minute cancelled out Anthony Knockaert's 82nd minute breakthrough and denied the Seagulls a third straight home win.
Bruno said: "To get a point against Everton is good, but after being 1-0 up with five minutes to go it's quite disappointing. Especially the way with the penalty.
"I would say it wasn't. I haven't seen it again. I'm trying to put myself in the space. I'm not going to speak about the ref. That isn't fair.
"They are trying to do their best. I think it was really soft, every single decision during the game.
"There were a lot of challenges in the game and it was his decison, that's it."
Albion boss Chris Hughton said: "I have no problems with the penalty. Credit to Bruno, he had a lot of aerial duels in the game. He has attempted to impede him (Calvert-Lewin).
"Unfortunately I think, because there had been a little bit of pushing before, the referee was right on top of it."
