Jack Butland tonight pulled out of England duty with a broken finger - just 11 days before he is due at the Amex.
The Football Association announced the Stoke goalkeeper had broken a finger in training.
He went back to his club to be further assessed.
The injury would appear to make him at the very least doubtful for the Potters' trip to play Albion after the international break.
Butland has returned to form and fitness and it was widely reported he would have started at Wembley.
Stoke visit Albion a week on Monday.
