JURGEN LOCADIA has been urged to make the most of his delayed start with Albion.

The new signing from Holland will be out of action until next month after signing with a hamstring injury.

Compatriot and former PSV colleague Davy Propper believes he can turn that to his advantage.

Propper was pitched straight in for a debut against Manchester City within days of arriving in England last summer.

He told The Argus: “Jurgen is injured at the moment so he has some time to get fit, watch games and to get to know the team better than I did. It’s a little bit different for him than it was for me.

“I think the first games he will get to know how we play here and I hope he adapts fast.”

Propper believes Locadia has the attributes to make a swift transition to the demands of English football.

He added: “He is quite strong, quite fast and that is the main reason why he can fit in.

“We need a player who does that a lot and can score goals.”
