Albion are interested in Luton Town prospect James Justin.
The 19-year-old right-back is in the sights of the Seagulls and Leeds United.
Justin has been starring in the Luton side steered to the top of League Two by former Albion No.2 Nathan Jones.
The England under-20 international has made 16 appearances this season for the Hatters in all competitions and is regarded as one of the hottest young properties in the lower divisions.
Meanwhile, Albion have extended the loan of under-23s midfielder Mathias Normann to Norwegian side Molde, managed by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, until the end of JUne.
The 21-year-old made seven appearances for Molde last year.
Albion under-23s coach Simon Rusk said: “It’s been a good move for Mathias, playing a high level of first-team football in Norway.
"We're always keeping track of his progress throughout his time on loan, as we do with all of our players, and we're confident that extending the deal will be beneficial for all three parties."
Norwegian Normann went on loan immediately to Molde after Albion signed him from second division FK Bodo/Glimt for an undisclosed fee until June 2020.
