Albion's record signing Jurgen Locadia is on course for his debut at fellow Premier League strugglers Stoke after training with the squad for the first time today.

The £14 million buy from PSV Eindhoven has been recovering from a hamstring injury sustained back in Holland in December.

Boss Chris Hughton said: "He trained today, which is good news. Certainly not early enough, considering he has been out for about six weeks now, for Saturday's game (home to West Ham) but we are very hopeful he will be able to play some part in the Stoke game (February 10).

"It was really good to see him on the training pitch today and no ill effects from the injury but of course what he has to do is build up that fitness base again."

Albion skipper Bruno, ruled out of the last two games by a minor back injury, is fit to face West Ham.

Hughton said: "He trained today and he is fine."

West Ham could give a debut to Jordan Hugill, signed late in the transfer window from Preston for £8 million.

The powerful striker scored against Albion for Preston at the Amex last season.

Hughton said: "He is a player I like. He does what he does very well. He will be a difficult player to play against, cause problems."
