Albion boss Chris Hughton has been shortlisted for the Barclays Premier League Manager of the Month award for February.

Hughton steered the Seagulls to convincing home wins against West Ham and Swansea last month, together with a draw at Stoke.

They also progressed to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

Hughton is up against Liverpool's Jurgen Klopp, Tottenham's Mauricio Pochettino, Watford's Javi Gracia and Huddersfield's David Wagner.

The verdict of a Premier League panel including Sir Alex Ferguson, Jamie Carragher and Rio Ferdinand will be combined with ten per cent of the total votes from a public poll.

Voting closes at 11.59pm on Monday March 5 and the winner will be announced at 10.30am on Friday March 9.

The Argus: Meanwhile, Jose Izquierdo's goals against West Ham and Stoke (above) have been nominated for the Carling goal of the month.

The Colombian winger scored with a stunning strike against West Ham at the Amex, then orchestrated and finished off a slick move at Stoke.

He faces competition from Mario Lemina (Southampton), Danilo and Sergio Aguero (Manchester City), Victor Wanyama (Spurs), Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) and Adam Smith (Bournemouth).

The same panel/public split applies with the same vote deadline. The winner will be announced at 10am on Friday March 9.

Albion duo Glenn Murray and Pascal Gross have also been nominated for the EA Sports Player of the Month Award for February.

It is the second nomination for Gross and Murray this season after they were respectively shortlisted for the September and October awards.

Gross created a total of 11 chances in February, more than any other player in the Premier League. Murray scored three goals in as many appearances last month.

They face competition from Aguero, Salah, Mousa Dembele (Spurs), Eden Hazard (Chelsea) and Xherdan Shaqiri (Stoke).

The same panel/public vote share applies once more. Voting closes at 11.59pm on Monday March 5 and the winner will be announced at 11am on Friday March 9.

Gross has additionally been nominated for the PFA Player of the Month with Hazard, Salah, Roberto Firmino (Liverpool), Jack Butland (Stoke) and Chris Smalling (Manchester United).
