Mathew Ryan is ready for the World Cup after taking his game to “another level” with Albion.
The Australia goalkeeper made some stunning saves as his side lost 4-0 at Anfield.
He will link up with the Socceroos after a week’s holiday in the Brighton area and start to prepare for Russia.
Ryan said: “The main objective for this season was to stay up and we have managed to do so.
“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed going into battle with these guys and the club and everyone around us.
“In my personal assessment I’ve taken my game to another level this season.
“I feel like I’m in the best form I’ve ever been in and, when football is going well, life is going well.”
Ryan links up with the Socceroos in Turkey for their pre-World Cup camp.
He said: “Having finished the season here, I can look forward to that – and have a nice week off first!
“It’s one of the childhood dreams I didn’t think would be possible along with having a full season here in the Premier League.”
