ALBION are eyeing goalkeeping targets as they seek competition for first choice Mathew Ryan.

The Seagulls have been linked with a £4 million move for Fulham’s David Button.

Tim Krul, their regular back-up last season, is out of contract and expected to move in the hunt for regular first team football.

Niki Maenpaa, third choice last term, is also reaching the end of his current deal.

However it is believed there is more chance the Finnish international could opt to stay at the Amex.

The Seagulls could need two goalkeepers with Christian Walton expected to go back out on loan.

They were interested in Spanish goalkeeper Pau Lopez, of Espanyol, last summer.

However, recruitment this summer will take place with an eye on the balance of home grown and foreign players.

Albion are thought to have goalkeeping options in mind but no concrete plans.

Albion’s bargain signing of striker Florin Andone will be officially completed today as the window opens for international transfers.

Andone recently agreed a five-year deal and arrives for £5.25 million from relegated Spanish outfit Deportivo La Coruna.
