Albion striker Sam Baldock is on the brink of joining Reading.
The clubs have agreed a fee and The Argus understands Baldock will have a medical this morning.
Baldock has been with Albion for four years.
The 29-year-old former Bristol City striker helped them to promotion from the Championship two seasons ago with 12 goals.
Baldock made just two substitute appearances in the Premier League last season.
His prospects of game time this season have been further reduced, with Albion's attacking options boosted by the signings of Florin Andone and winger Alireza Jahanbakhsh.
Baldock could now be involved in the first Championship fixture of the new season as Reading take on Frank Lampard's Derby County on Friday evening.
Baldock's impending departure coincides with Albion centre-half target Liam Moore handing in a transfer request at Reading.
