Niki Maenpaa has signed a one-year deal at Championship outfit Bristol City following his release by Albion.
The Finnish international has impressed during a trial period.
City boss Lee Johnson believes Maenpaa is hungry to impress having understudied David Stockdale, Mathew Ryan and Tim Krul at the Amex in recent years.
City have lost key men Aden Flint and Bobby Reid during the summer.
Johnson said: “Niki has really impressed us during his trial period. He has the technical and personable skills to fit in nicely to this squad.
“He has spent a couple of seasons in the shadows and now he’s hungry to prove himself as a top goalkeeper.”
